You should consider bringing and using your own plug-in GFCI. So I am trying to control the release of the 120V every time the AC is on, as the control wire for it runs near. It will trip and turn off the electricity when it detects current leakage as low as 5 mA. I am asking this because the fan that I have is not smart and does not take thermostat input, only 120V on/off. Q5/SQ5 MKI (8R) Discussion - 120 volt outlets - As I just mentioned in my previous thread, we are in the process of buying a slightly used 2016 Q5 TDI. There are a few variations of the 110 volt outlet based on the size of the breaker associated with the circuit, which is measured in Amps. The black line wire connects to one of the brass terminals, and the white return wire connects to the corresponding. A 120-volt outlet usually has four terminals two are brass, and two are chrome and a ground terminal. Do not be confused by this think of them as one and the same. The line wire, which carries voltage, is usually black (although it can be red), and the neutral wire is always white. Sometimes you may hear 110 volt plugs referred to as 120 volt. Domestic electrical outlets supply 120 volts in North America and 220-240. The most common electrical outlet in any home is a 110 volt. My question is: which electrical device (switch?) can I use to input 24V and release or stop 120V outlet or direct wiring (on a separate circuit than the low voltage)? I imagine something like a power transformer that hangs on the outlet (input), and an input from the low voltage wire which controls another outlet (out) depending on whether it is charged or not. Electrical outlets (also known as outlets, electrical sockets, plugs, and wall. Providing both 120 and 240 volts, these receptacles have four plug-in slotstwo that are hot, one that is neutral, and one that is grounding. I can easily branch off a ceiling light box to install a box to power this, outlet or direct wiring. The low voltage wire connecting the thermostat with the compressor (to control the compressor) runs through the attic (as the compressor is on the roof) and I was thinking to put some sort of junction in the attic so the same wire that turns the compressor on also controls the attic fan. I would like to power a 120V attic fan every time my AC comes on.
